Controversy

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Topic: Controversy in Medical Practice, Physicians and Doctors
Controversial subtopic: Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide.
................................................................................................................................................................
Euthanasia: Intentional killing by act or omission of a Dependant human being for their supposed benefit.
Assisted Suicide: Someone provides an individual with knowledge that can assist to take their own lives, specifically for that purpose.

The main difference between Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide is the level of direct involvement. Euthanasia is the person's direct involvement with the death of the person in question, whereas Assisted Suicide is a round-about way, where they only provide the means of suicide, but leave the act to the person in question.

Awesomeness
.......................................................................................................................

I hardly ever consider myself a good writer, but that never stops me from actually doing it. Writing really isn’t that hard, what’s hard is putting your thought on the table, and I’m absolutely horrible at that. Which is why, granted, I cannot for the life of me make sense for longer than 3 sentences. Over the course of College, though, I definitely learned some useful things. I may not have learned to organize my thoughts any better, but I learned how to make them sound good and organized, and the improvement is huge.

For academic writing, I still dread topics I have little interest in, because they add to my already chronic procrastination abilities, and I hardly get any quality work done.

As for free writing, I do it even now. Granted, it’s something that would never leave my drawer of things-you-never-talk-about, but I very much enjoy it, even though I suffer a writer’s block after 4 PM.

Motivation to write really doesn't come easy to me; I have to pamper myself, and it gets old. And by pampering, I mean the full-on package of appropriate music, dim lighting, and incense, as if my inspiration is a very spoiled girlfriend.

Another part of writing that I love, is proofreading. I only realized it recently, but I kept doing it ever since; It’s comforting to be able to reread a text and keep fixing it, instead of banging my head, trying to think of something to write on my own. On that note, I have also been helping a group of people to proofread an unofficial game translation, and dedicated quite a few months to it. It was a horribly fun project to be a part of, especially because they had seriously horrible English.

Overall, writing is a dark passion of mine, and I plan to stick with it unprofessionally for as long as I can, and improving on it is something I would absolutely want to do.
